A classic chili cheese dogs recipe with an extra spicy kick for garnish!

 

No chili dog is complete without toppings, and this recipe adds a kick of bold garlicky heat to complement the creamy and tangy cheddar cheese. That kick comes in the form of Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce, which has a balance of garlicky and spicy flavors to amplify the savory beef chili and hot dog. This recipe is great to whip up for a quick gameday meal, ready in 30 minutes from start to finish!

  • 6 hot dogs
  • 6 buns (brioche or potato)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 stalks green onion, thinly sliced

Seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make it

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain excess grease if needed. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute to deepen the flavor.

  2. Add beef broth, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until combined. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and spoonable. Reduce heat to low and keep warm.

  3. Grill or pan-sear hot dogs over medium-high heat for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and heated through. Lightly toast buns on the grill, in a skillet, or in the oven for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Spoon warm chili generously over each hot dog. Drizzle with additional Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and green onions.
